Stone Brewing Tap Room - Richmond: A Craft Beer Destination

Been here a few times for various occasions and it’s a great spot! Great selection of beverage options, especially for people who may not drink beer but are out with people who do. Stone also hosts little vendor fairs and such, which are nice to check out. Thank you to all of the amazing staff who keep this beautiful brewery clean and hospitable all the time! Your hard work and care for your craft truly shows.

Kind of cool to say I’ve visited both their brewery locations thousands of miles apart. There are two parking lots both off different roads. The vibe inside was decent, and they have outdoor seating also. There is a rail line nearby and some wooded areas. A cool bridge leads guests from one of the parking lots to the brewery taproom entrance.

Very cool location, and a beautiful building. The beer is fantastic and the staff were wonderful and very helpful with the selection of beers.

Solid enough brewery. My parents friend lives in Richmond and he made this place sound like an east coast Mecca a few years ago, but compared to Sierra Nevada’s ‘Asheville’ location it doesn’t live up to the hype. It’s a lovely space with nice grounds and a comfortable patio, but outside of that there’s not much reason to visit. Stone beer has always been a bit average for me and today was no exception. I had a pilsner (not pictured), hazy IPA, and barleywine while I was here; the best of the three being the hazy IPA. I also ordered a smash burger with fries, which was good and cost about $15 with tip. I’m glad I checked it out, but with so many good RVA breweries I probably won’t be back.

If you are picking a brewery in middle Virginia this is the place. Richmond has very great breweries but Stone is all around 5 stars. Food is 5 stars, cocktails and beers are 5 stars. The staff were very kind and knowledgeable and cared if you actually enjoyed your beverage. Staff were top-level. They sought feedback. Vegan and meat lover options for food. Plenty of parking. Place is very clean. Only request is TVs for sports games. The brewery offered board games and had indoor and outdoor seating. They were also very accommodating to our small corgis. It was cold out and after a day of walking around this brewery was perfect. The brewery has different groups enjoying beers and playing games. We will always go back while in Richmond. Every beer tried is amazing.

Customer service is great. Accommodating, helpful and explain things in detail. Clean inside and out. I appreciate that they offer wireless internet since it seems to be located in a dead zone and service can be spotty regardless of service provider. Plenty of parking options. It's a walk to the parking lot and some areas are not lit enough. It's a 4 out of 5 for me.

Nice surprise discovering Stone Brewing on our journey, always liked the IPA, but hard to get back home.. never realized all the different beers they produce. Did a flight which was great. Service was excellent.. food from the food truck outside was a bit of a disappointment though..

What I love about this space is you are so close to the city but feel so far. It's proximity to an undeveloped wooded area, a train track, and the river feel like a reprieve from the busyness of life (though the train can be loud.) They've got a great selection, indoor and outdoor seating, and a food truck.
